Connect with an Immigration Advisor
Immigration advising is a regulated profession. Only a regulated advisor can answer your immigration questions. Advisors at the IO only advise on issues related to your temporary residence stay as an international student. For information about Permanent Resident Programs, click here.

The IAT offers both live sessions and recorded sessions weekly for students.
- The live sessions on Wednesday and Brightspace recordings are for current students. Each live session has an accompanying recording and quiz, which you are encouraged to watch and answer before attending the live session. During the live session, a summary of the recording will be provided followed by a question-and-answer session. All live sessions are virtual, and all sessions and recordings are accessible through Brightspace (course: Immigration Support for International Students). If you do not have access, email immigrationadvising@mun.ca to request access.
- The recording on Initial Study Permits and Study Plan is for Newly Admitted students preparing their initial study permit application or who have been refused a study permit. To access the recording you must register and await approval of your registration. To register, you must use your @mun.ca email and provide your student number. If approved, you will be emailed confirmation with the video and quiz links. Please note, while there is an event associated with this registration, no meeting will take place.
